About Ian Yeoman & Una Mcmahon

Ian Yeoman
Ian is a champion of revenue management and pricing within the service industries, having published over 50 articles, book chapters and conference presentations. He has a PhD in Management Science from Napier University, Edinburgh and BSc in Catering Systems from Sheffield City Polytechnic. Ian has recently been appointed as an Associate Professor of Tourism Management at Victoria University in New Zealand. Previously, Ian was the Scenario Planner at VisitScotland responsible for economic modeling, trend analysis and scenario construction. His academic career includes posts as a Senior Lecturer in Tourism and Hospitality Management at Napier University and University College, Birmingham. Ian is an Honorary Professor of Tourism Management at Stirling University and a Visiting Research Fellow at Sheffield Hallam University. He has extensive experience within the hospitality industry, for which he was a hotel manager with Trusthouse Forte. Ian is the founding editor of the Journal of Revenue and Pricing Management, and author/editor of numerous other books including, Yield Management, Sport & Leisure Operations Management, Festivals & Events Management, Revenue Management & Pricing. Ian is an active supporter of the INFORMS Revenue Management & Pricing section. Ian’s new book, ‘Tomorrows Tourist’ looks at the future of world tourism in 2030.

Una Mcmahon 
Una is the Head of Department of Hospitality and Tourism at the University of Ulster. She has a PhD form the University of Gloucestershire in the area of revenue management, relationship marketing, pricing and consumer trust. She has published widely in jourbanals, books and conferences in these areas in the UK and internationally. Una is Practice Papers Editor for the Jourbanal of Revenue and Pricing Management and is the author or editor of a number of books including, Yield Management: Strategies for the Service Industries and Revenue Management & Pricing.
